For the second time ‘Sipayi’ Kannada film title is repeated on silver screen. It was first Sipayi of V Ravichandran and mega star Chiranjeevi first and prior to that it was ‘Sipayi Ramu’ of Dr Rajakumar.

The 2016 Sipayi is a soldier in one way. He hunts on the social disparity and makes his own medicine. Rajat Mayi who worked in ‘Lucia’ is independent director and in the 18 months he prepared a very touching and commercial script. He has made a study on mafia in abroad and utilized for this film. He is hoping for good success for his hard work in the box office. As a matter of fact the film hero Siddarth, director, heroine Shruthi Hariharan were part of the ‘Lucia’ Kannada film.

TV Journalist Gowrish Akki is playing the same role in the film. He is backbone to the protagonist of the film.

National award winning actor Sanchari Vijay got this offer when he was wandering for opportunities in cinema. After working in this film he appeared in national award winning cinema ‘Naanu Avanalla Avalu’. Theatre artists are part of this film he explained.


For Shruthi Hariharan a proved actress today it was a flashback time. She was rejected by director of this film Rajatmayi when she was at audition. Shruthi got selected later on from Pawan Kumar director of Lucia. Now the director in his debut selecting me for heroine is destiny she says. However Rajatmayi has prepared a good screenplay for ‘Sipayi’ she says.


Siddarth Mahesh is also producer of this film besides playing lead role.  Looking at Yogaraj Bhat films he made it a point to bring it in a lavish style to audience.


Kari Subbu, Manjunath Gowda, Krishna, Bharat Singh, editor Akshay, cameraman Paramesh disclosed their experience being part of ‘Sipayi’.
